Dalius Morkvėnas, previous coordinator of international marketing campaigns like ‘Tesla Gigafactory’ and ‘#NanoJesus’, is taking up his duties as Director of Lithuania Travel, which is a tourism promotion agency in Lithuania.


‘Today, the wheel of the new tourism promotion agency is entrusted to a professional who is most of all appropriate for this post: he has long lasting and successful working experience in the field of labour marketing, he has initiated and coordinated campaigns aimed at building Lithuania’s image, which received international attention and awards; moreover, his working experience in the public sector is equally important. I have no doubt that the professional experience will allow the new Director to create an efficiently functioning national tourism marketing agency,’ says Minister of the Economy and Innovation Virginijus Sinkevičius.

Before taking the post of Director of Lithuania Travel Dalius Morkvėnas worked for 6 years as Director of the Marketing and Communication Department at foreign direct investment attraction agency Invest Lithuania; he was Director of the Marketing and Communication Department at Danske Bank’s Lithuanian unit for more than 5 years; and he was Head of the Marketing and Product Development Unit at Eurocom for almost 2 years.

The Director of Lithuania Travel has obtained a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Political Sciences and has studied communication sciences at Vilnius University and business administration at ISM University of Management and Economics at the master’s level. 

Dalius Morkvėnas is the winner of the tender announced by the Ministry of Economy at the end of 2018 seeking to appoint Director of Lithuania Travel.
