Advisory Panel to ensure continued reform of SOEs

Following the decree of the Prime Minister and seeking to ensure continuity and transparency of the reform of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) a panel, which includes representatives from the public and which will be headed by Arūnas Šikšta, the CEO of AB TEO LT, has been established today. The panel members will supervise the reform of SOEs and share their experience by making proposals and recommendations on further steps of the reform.

“We have planned to invite the most prominent business leaders to the SOE management Advisory Panel, whom we expect to become true ambassadors of the SOE reform in public and to cooperate with the Management Coordination Centre regarding the performance efficiency of SOEs,” said Minister of Economy Rimantas Žylius.

The Advisory Panel will comprise of seven members who will work on voluntary basis and for no remuneration:

• Arūnas Šikšta (CEO, AB TEO LT);
• Antanas Anskaitis (Chief Investment Officer, UAB BPT Asset Management;
• Rolandas Barysas (Editor-in-Chief, UAB Verslo Žinios);
• Viktoras Butkus (businessman, former Chairman of the Board of UAB Fermentas);
• Nerijus Mačiulis (Chief economist, Swedbank);
• Jaunius Pusvaškis (CEO, Baltic Management Institute);
• Arminta Saladžienė (President and Chairman of the Board, NASDAQ OMX Vilnius).
