Kęstutis Trečiokas appointed Vice-Minister of Economy

Kęstutis Trečiokas, former Deputy Director for Economics at VšĮ Regional Telšiai Hospital, is starting his new responsibilities as Vice-Minister of Economy. At the Ministry of Economy, K. Trečiokas will be in charge of small and medium-sized business development, export, investments and business supervision.

From 2005 to 2011, the newly appointed Vice-Minister worked as Director of the Telšiai District Municipality Administration. Since 2003, he has worked as Head of the Economics, Strategic Planning and Investments Division. 

Vice-Minister Trečiokas has previously worked as Assistant Director of  UAB Litesko, Deputy Director of UAB Telša and Advisor to the Mayer of the Telšiai District Municipality for business, tourism and foreign relations. He also was a CEO of AB Telteksa and an electrical engineer, Head of the Electricity Department, Commercial Director, and Economic and Social Issues Director in AB Mastis.

Trečiokas has a diploma in electrical engineering from Kaunas University of Technology (formerly  Kaunas Polytechnic Institute (KPI))  and a diploma in economics from Vilnius University. He completed a Management Course at Aalborg University in Denmark and a Management and Marketing Course at the American Management Association in Chicago.
