Minister of the Economy and Innovation Rimantas Sinkevičius continues working with his political team: Vice-Ministers of the Economy and Innovation Jekaterina Rojaka and Marius Skuodis and Advisers Vitalija Jankauskaitė-Milčiuvienė, Kęstutis Šetkus and Darius Liutikas. The Chancellor of the Ministry of the Economy and Innovation and the third Vice-Minister will be appointed in the near future.

According to the newly appointed Minister of the Economy and Innovation, the main priority of his work is to accelerate economic recovery so as to improve state aid provision to businesses and to remove obstacles which prevent access to state aid; also, to replace aid measures that are ineffective. Increasing the efficiency of public procurement and drafting legal acts leading to the green corridor for investments are also among the priorities.

Rimantas Sinkevičius was appointed Minister of the Economy and Innovation on Tuesday, 30 June.

Before taking this position, Rimantas Sinkevičius, 68, was Elder of the Social Democratic Labor political Group and Chair of the Committee on Economics of the Seimas. From 2012 to 2016, he served as Minister of Transport and Communications.
