Vice-Minister Gediminas Miškinis takes office

Today, Gediminas Miškinis who previously was Deputy Chief Executive Director of the Vilnius City Municipality Administration is taking up his duties as Vice-Minister of Economy. Gediminas Miškinis will be in charge of increasing the operation efficiency of the Ministry of Economy and optimising the internal processes.

Prior to becoming Vice-Minister of Economy Gediminas Miškinis has been working at the Ministry of Economy for many years in the position of Chancellor, State Secretary and Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania. Even before that he was Director of the Department of Macroeconomic Policy of the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Lithuania and Head of the Division of Material Balance.

Gediminas Miškinis has acquired the profession of Economic Cybernetics from the Faculty of Economic Cybernetics and Finance (present Faculty of Economics) of Vilnius University.

Two Vice-Ministers have already taken up their duties in the cabinet of Minister of Economy Virginijus Sinkevičius: Gintaras Vilda who is in charge of innovation and industry and trade and Marius Skuodis who is responsible for the investment environment, export promotion and UE investment.
