More than 40,000 clients have already used the services of the Innovation Agency

In the two years since its launch, the Innovation Agency has welcomed more than 40,000 clients, doubling its usage compared to its first year of operation. The Innovation Agency, which was set up on the initiative of the Ministry of the Economy and Innovation, celebrated its second anniversary on 7 April.

"The establishment of the Innovation Agency is one of the key innovation reforms that will drive the country's transformation into a high value-added economy and make Lithuania a global innovation centre. In just two years, the Agency has achieved excellent results and given a new impetus to the entire innovation ecosystem in the country. I wish the Innovation Agency to continue on this path with determination, fostering cooperation and innovation between business and science and increasing Lithuania's international competitiveness," said Aušrinė Armonaitė, the Minister of the Economy and Innovation.

Acting as a national platform for the innovation ecosystem, the Innovation Agency provides expert advice on start-ups and business development, contributes to the development of innovation, helps companies to connect with foreign partners and enter international value chains, and provides access to funding and other resources. The Agency also makes an important contribution to the promotion of exports and entrepreneurship.

In two years, around 10,000 clients have benefited from the consultation of the Innovation Agency. Some 12,500 clients have participated in entrepreneurship, exports and innovation promotion events. Learning programmes and platforms were used by 2.8 thousand clients and digital tools (business guides, spreadsheets, entrepreneur card) were used by around 14 thousand clients.

According to this year's survey, 88% of companies that used the Innovation Agency's business services last year gave a positive assessment of the Agency's services. The training programmes and services provided by the Innovation Agency are most highly valued by companies. The top five services also include expert consultation, information events and the services of the co-working centres "Spiečius".

The Innovation Agency was established in 2022 on the basis of the former Lithuanian Business Support Agency (LVPA) and the Entrepreneurship and Export Development Agency (Versli Lietuva), consolidating the functions of the Science, Innovation and Technology Agency (MITA).
