Solvit

SOLVIT is an effective and free tool for businesses and citizens to solve problems in other EU countries.

The EU's internal market opens up many opportunities for individuals who want to live and work in another Member State, as well for companies who want to expand the boundaries of their markets. However, if the authorities of another EU country do not follow the provisions of EU law, problems inevitably arise: professional qualifications acquired in Lithuania are not recognized, social benefits are not provided to Lithuanian citizen, it is not allowed to start a business or to supply goods to the market in particular EU country, the VAT is not recovered, additional checks, documents, etc. are required. If you have such case, we suggest you to contact the Lithuanian SOLVIT Centre, which can help you to resolve the problem.

SOLVIT helps to:

• to solve cross-border problems that have arisen in EU countries, as well as in Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein;
• when there is incorrect application of EU legislation;
• in case of difficulties in communicating with the authorities.

The SOLVIT network deals with complaints from EU citizens and businesses when they encounter problems arising from the incorrect application of EU law by authorities in other EU Member States. SOLVIT services are free of charge and informal ways of operating help the EU.
