Electronic identification
Ministry of the Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania forms policy for electronic identification and trust services in Lithuania.
In Lithuania, the legal basis for electronic identification is set out in the Elektroninės atpažinties ir elektroninių operacijų patikimumo užtikrinimo paslaugų įstatymas (Law on Electronic Identification and Trust Services)
The harmonized application of electronic identification and trust services in the European Union is regulated by Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 July 2014 on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market and repealing Directive 1999/93/EC
