To align with the Green Deal and encourage companies to develop and implement green innovations, the Ministry of Economy and Innovation announced a €5 million call at the end of 2022 aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in non-industrial sectors to create and adopt environmentally friendly products and technologies.

Companies could apply for funding of up to €50,000 per enterprise.

By the end of the initial call, €4.4 million was allocated to this initiative, resulting in 95 signed contracts with project implementers.

Given the high level of interest and innovative solutions proposed, the Ministry of Economy and Innovation announced an additional call at the end of 2023 to further support this initiative. This supplementary call is directed at non-industrial SMEs that develop and implement eco-friendly products or technologies, with a maximum funding limit of €50,000 per project.

Upon closing this second call, nearly €600,000 was allocated, and 12 new contracts were signed with project implementers.

All projects under this initiative must be completed by the end of 2025.
