- Missions will be implemented by 3 tender selected consortia, consisting of scientific and study institutions also business entities. Other partners will also be able to join consortia: science and technology parks, university hospitals, clusters, business associations, non-governmental organizations. Each consortium will have to implement at least 7 R&D projects or activities resulting in a prototype, product, or a spin-off.
- According to the mission themes, 3 competence centers will have to be established, where products and services based on scientific knowledge will be born. The solutions developed during the missions should reach the market within three years.
- A consortium formed by Vilnius University was selected to solve the public challenges of health innovations, the consortium formed by Vilnius Gediminas Technical University will contribute to solving the prevailing problems of a smart and climate-neutral Lithuania, and safe and inclusive e. society's challenges will be solved by a consortium formed by Kaunas University of Technology.
- The joint consortium brought together by Vilnius Gediminas Technical University plans to create smart, climate-neutral production technologies and materials (SmartEcoTech) based on the scientific research and experimental development ecosystem of technological universities and companies. These activities will contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, creating sustainable solutions in the construction sector, improving wastewater treatment processes, and solving other environmental problems. The estimated total value of the project is 32,1 million. euros.
- The consortium formed by the Kaunas University of Technology will develop a project related to digital defence aimed at strengthening public security and resilience. The consortium will create and encourage the implementation of innovations in the field of information and communication technologies, will contribute to the increase of cyber security. It is planned to establish two competence centers for information and communication technologies. The estimated total value of the project is 26,01 million euros.
- A selected joint consortium formed by Vilnius University plans to establish a translational gene technology center. The establishment of such a center would help speed up integration of technologies to health care activities both in Lithuania and internationally.
