50,000 euros for events promoting innovation
The Ministry of Economy and Innovation invites business associations to submit applications for funding for events that promote innovation in Lithuania’s priority areas – health and biotechnology, smart manufacturing, and information and communication technologies. A total of 50,000 euros is earmarked for this purpose.
“The areas of smart specialization were not chosen randomly – these are fields in which Lithuania has strong expertise and the potential to create greater added value. We want the innovations developed here to turn into new products, partnerships, and business growth. These events will help bring together communities in these fields, share best practices, and showcase solutions developed in Lithuania to a wider audience,” says Edvinas Grikšas, Minister of Economy and Innovation.
Funding is allocated for events that familiarize the public and target groups with the benefits and best practices of research, experimental development, and innovation implementation. Events may be organized both in Lithuania and in other countries.
Associated business structures registered in Lithuania that bring together at least 25 economic entities operating in accordance with the priorities of smart specialization are eligible for funding. A single applicant may submit no more than two applications for different events per call for proposals. Partners are not permitted in these projects.
The maximum grant per applicant is up to 10,000 euros, covering up to 100 percent of eligible expenses. The total amount allocated for this call is 50,000 euros. Projects will be selected through a competitive process, based on an evaluation of the applicant’s experience in organizing events to promote innovation, the planned number of participants, and the international scope of the event.
The implementation period for funded activities is until 30 November 2026. The deadline for submitting applications is 14 September 2026. The call for proposals is administered by the Innovation Agency.
