A. Armonaitė met with Mind the Bridge, a world-class start-up development company

Minister of the Economy and Innovation Aušrinė Armonaitė met in San Francisco (USA) with Marco Marinucci, CEO of Mind the Bridge, a world-class open innovation platform providing services to companies and startup ecosystems, to discuss possible cooperation that would enhance the growth of Lithuanian startups and their expansion into the US market.

"The Lithuanian startup ecosystem is one of the fastest growing in Central and Eastern Europe. The value of Lithuanian startups has grown 17 times between 2017 and 2022. However, startups in Lithuania need targeted programmes that are adapted to the specifics of the products or services being developed or the growth and development potential of the company. That's why we discussed the potential for joint programmes and initiatives with the CEO of the world-class company Mind the Bridge. This would further strengthen Lithuania's energetic and dynamic start-up ecosystem," says Aušrinė Armonaitė, Minister of the Economy and Innovation.

Cooperation with Mind the Bridge would be beneficial in promoting innovation, growing start-ups, strengthening the innovation ecosystem and creating a start-up-friendly environment.

It would facilitate the implementation of initiatives to strengthen international partnerships. This would enable start-ups to make useful connections with investors, corporations and their partners, and to establish themselves in international markets.

Mind the Bridge engages more than 10,000 start-ups per year, with more than 300 participating in various accelerator programmes.

Founded in 2007, Mind the Bridge implements global initiatives such as the Startup Europe Partnership. Its goal is to connect European startups with companies to foster collaboration and innovation.

Lithuania's startup ecosystem is globally recognised: Lithuania is ranked 10th in the latest Global Fintech Index and 17th in the StartupBlink Global Ecosystems 2023 ranking.

In addition, Lithuania is ranked 23rd out of 64 countries in the IMD Global Talent Ranking 2023, which is the country's highest ranking in the last 5 years.
