A. Armonaitė to present Lithuania’s innovation ecosystem in Lisbon
Aušrinė Armonaitė, Minister of the Economy and Innovation, will pay a working visit to Lisbon, Portugal, on 11-13 November to attend the international technology conference Web Summit 2024. For the third consecutive year, Lithuania will showcase its fast-growing innovation ecosystem and talented start-ups at the event, which brings together the heads of leading companies and investors.
“This is an extraordinary opportunity for Lithuania to showcase its innovation potential and establish new contacts that will help it expand internationally. We estimate that we already have more than 1,000 start-ups in the country, which are worth EUR 13.7 billion. Last year, they attracted more than 292 million in investments, which not only contributes to economic growth, but also makes a significant contribution to global initiatives that add value to the country,” said Aušrinė Armonaitė, Minister of the Economy and Innovation.
During the Web Summit 2024 event, the Minister will also take part in a discussion with Alex Bornyakov, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, on the development of the technology ecosystem, public sector support for start-ups, and growth promotion.
At Web Summit 2024, Lithuania will also have a separate representative stand initiated by the Innovation Agency, which will not only showcase the Lithuanian start-up ecosystem, but also provide an opportunity for our start-ups to network with potential partners and investors. Representatives of various Lithuanian start-ups, including Coherent Solutions, Caasify, STEAM Minds, HUBBOX IoT, Linkpricer UAB, Traxlo, sscouthub.vc, and Walk15, are heading to the conference.
Web Summit is one of the largest technology conferences held annually in Lisbon, bringing together thousands of participants from all over the world. They include heads of companies, start-up founders, investors, politicians, and other leaders in the technology industry.
