Another step has been taken towards implementing the Telšiai Industrial Park project

The government has approved the Ministry of Economy and Innovation's draft resolution on establishing the boundaries of the Telšiai Industrial Park. This decision is an important milestone in the project's implementation, building on its recent designation as a project of national importance. It paves the way for further economic development in the region.

'The Telšiai Industrial Park is an important regional development project that will enable targeted investment attraction, the creation of well-paid jobs, and the strengthening of the Telšiai region's competitiveness. The government's decision to establish the boundaries of the territory is a necessary step for the municipality to move on to specific park development work,' said the Minister of the Economy and Innovation, Edvinas Grikšas.

The boundaries of the Telšiai Industrial Park, as defined by the government's resolution, cover an area of 40.88 hectares in the Telšiai district municipality. The territory complies with the Telšiai city master plan and falls within the industrial and storage functional zone.

Once the boundaries have been approved, the municipality will prepare a development plan for the park, setting out its operational objectives, envisaged economic activities, infrastructure development solutions and investment promotion measures.

By 2039, it is expected that the park could attract at least €55.8 million in private investment and create around 650 long-term jobs, thus contributing to the economic growth of the Central and Western Lithuania region.
