EIMIN: €13.4 million for the development of industrial sites
The Ministry of the Economy and Innovation will provide €13.4 million for the development of free economic zones, industrial parks and other industrial areas. Municipalities are invited to apply for these projects.
"Adequate and well-developed infrastructure is crucial for the development of industrial sites. It not only facilitates the conditions for companies already operating in these areas, but also helps to attract new investment. Our goals remain the same - to create the best conditions for doing business throughout the region," said Aušrinė Armonaitė, Minister of the Economy and Innovation.
The call for proposals provides funding for the development of investment sites, infrastructure and landscaping. Potential applicants are municipalities, potential partners are free economic zone management companies, industrial park operators, etc.
Projects are selected through a call for proposals. The maximum amount of funding available for projects is up to EUR 2.5 million.
"We invite all municipalities in the country to be proactive and use the funding to improve the investment environment and increase their competitiveness. Importantly, up to 100% of the total eligible costs will be funded. Companies operating in industrial zones create hundreds of jobs and make a significant contribution to our economic growth," said Karolis Žemaitis, Deputy Minister of the Economy and Innovation.
Applications can be submitted to Invest Lithuania. The application deadline is 27 May 2024.
Last year, the Ministry of the Economy and Innovation allocated almost €14 million to projects in seven municipalities. Over the past three years, approximately €50 million has been allocated for the development of industrial zones.
