EIMIN: Commercial Attaché starts work in Munich

Lina Gudelionytė-Gylienė, Commercial Attaché, starts work in Munich, Germany. The Lithuanian network of commercial attachés and sales representatives now totals a team of 22 people.

“Targeted cooperation with companies based in the southern and western states of Germany and working with our country’s diaspora are the priorities of the Lithuanian Commercial Attaché in Munich. Germany is one of Lithuania’s main trading partners: last year, the trade turnover between the two countries reached EUR 9.24 billion, so we will strive to further expand the circle of cooperation, raise Lithuania’s profile, and hunt for investments,” said Aušrinė Armonaitė, Minister of the Economy and Innovation.

Germany has three Commercial Attachés: Lina Gudelionytė-Gylienė in Munich, and Arūnas Šarka and Inga Rovbutas in Berlin.

“Lithuania’s exclusive focus on the economically strong German markets of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, which are proud of their industrial and innovation progress, can bring many new economic and business synergies to our country. The interests of global powers, such as the US and Japan, have long been strongly rooted there. Therefore, it is very important for us to make good use of the opportunities offered by the Lithuanian Consulate in Munich to build new bridges of bilateral cooperation,” says L. Gudelionytė-Gylienė.

L. Gudelionytė-Gylienė, who holds a Bachelor Degree in Sociology from Vilnius University and a Master Degree in Political Science from Lancaster University (UK), was previously Commercial Attaché in Berlin. During her studies, she also had a research fellowship at the Department of Economic Sociology at the University of Stuttgart.

Prior to that, L. Gudelionytė-Gylienė worked as founder and manager of a consulting company in Germany. She also founded and developed a German-owned company in Lithuania.
