EIMIN: Showcasing this year’s most effective public procurement

Public procurement makes a significant contribution to the Lithuanian economy every year: over EUR 5.7 billion has already been spent on public procurement in 2024 alone. Therefore, the potential of public procurement, its benefits, and the most efficient procurement practices will be showcased at the annual public procurement conference.

“Properly managed public procurements can deliver really significant results in achieving the country’s objectives in areas as diverse as the environment, social security, and healthcare. So we need to pay particular attention to the quality of procurement, as it drives innovation, sustainable growth, and efficient use of state budget funds. By assessing the best public procurements each year, we can further improve public procurement practices to ensure that state funds are used in the best way,” says Erika Kuročkina, Vice-Minister of the Economy and Innovation.

The Ministry of the Economy and Innovation and the Public Procurement Office are organising a conference on 28 November to announce the most effective public procurements of the year. During the conference, the organisations and companies that have carried out these procurements will share best practices in public procurement.

Representatives from the public sector and state-owned enterprises will present the most innovative, smart and socially responsible public procurements and discuss how they have applied best management practices and collaborated most successfully with suppliers.

The conference will be held remotely. The conference will be streamed live on the Facebook account of the Ministry of the Economy and Innovation.

The conference programme is available here.
