L. Savickas: Our priority is not only foreign, but also local business market participants
On the initiative of the Minister of the Economy and Innovation Lukas Savickas, Invest Lithuania's statute has been amended and the agency is expanding its activities by working not only with foreign but also with local investors, focusing on large-scale investment projects. The aim is to attract and implement more significant projects in Lithuania and create new jobs.
Invest Lithuania already contributes to the implementation of large investment projects, but we want to focus not only on foreign investors, but also on local players. The aim is to increase the scale and speed of investment. This is an important step towards strengthening Lithuania's position in the international market and promoting the development of local businesses," said the Minister of the Economy and Innovation L. Savickas.
Until now, Invest Lithuania has been responsible for the development of foreign direct investment, and from now on it will advise both local and foreign investors implementing large-scale projects. This will ensure the speed and smoothness of procedures and smooth cooperation with the relevant institutions. The agency will continue to provide expert assessment of applications for investment contracts for large projects and monitor the progress of these contracts.
Invest Lithuania will also provide suggestions for improvement and advice on the preparation of conditions and procedures for major projects.
The broader scope of Invest Lithuania's activities will allow it to strengthen cooperation between local and international companies and improve investment attraction activities. This change is expected to contribute significantly to the competitiveness and sustainable development of the Lithuanian economy.
