Minister A. Armonaitė's first podcast: a conversation with the start-up accelerator Plug and Play
Today is the launch of the first podcast of Minister of the Economy and Innovation Aušrinė Armonaitė, together with representatives of the start-up accelerator Plug and Play Uranik Begu and Paolo La Sorda, and Deputy Minister of the Economy and Innovation Karolis Žemaitis. The Minister talked about the upcoming accelerator programme and discussed what the accelerator's arrival in Lithuania means for Lithuanian start-ups.
"It took us almost a year to attract an international accelerator. Today it has become another Lithuanian success story - Plug and Play has chosen our country as its new home. So in this first podcast we talk about new opportunities for our start-ups," says Aušrinė Armonaitė, Minister of the Economy and Innovation.
According to the agreement, the Silicon Valley company will develop 60 innovative companies in Lithuania in almost three years. "Plug and Play has also committed to invest EUR 5.9 million in at least 45 start-ups.
According to the Minister of the Economy and Innovation, Aušrinė Armonaitė, the global accelerator will create high added value for the entire startup ecosystem in the country and raise the profile of Lithuanian companies internationally.
