The “Spiečius” network continues to grow – the 18th active business space has opened its doors in Anykščiai

As the business potential of the regions grows rapidly, the “Spiečius” network of active business spaces run by the Innovation Agency is being expanded at the initiative of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation. On October 16, “Spiečius” opened its doors in Anykščiai – here, local entrepreneurs will be able to develop their business skills, receive personalized consultations, and find new contacts and partners.

“This is already the 18th active business space we’ve opened in Lithuania, bringing together active, ambitious business representatives in the regions who are eager to grow. The surge in entrepreneurship in Lithuania is largely driven by people’s courage to embrace new ideas and the opportunity to receive professional assistance in implementing them. That is why we strive to make these opportunities available in the regions as well. The ‘Spiečius’ opening in Anykščiai will help local entrepreneurs more confidently bring their ideas to life, expand their operations, and establish a foothold not only in Lithuania but also in foreign markets,” said Edvinas Grikšas, Minister of Economy and Innovation, who attended the opening of “Spiečius.”

According to Justinas Didikas, head of the Business Productivity Department at the Innovation Agency, it is important for the growth of small businesses not only to strengthen their skills but also to learn from the experiences of other entrepreneurs, establish new contacts, and discover opportunities for expansion.

“The ‘Spiečius’ community already has more than 450 members. These are entrepreneurs who share their experiences, seek new customers, increase their revenue, and enter foreign markets. We believe that in Šakiai, ‘Spiečius’ will become a place where new partnerships are formed, business competencies are strengthened, and more opportunities for growth open up. “The more strong, growing businesses we have in the regions, the more opportunities there will be to create jobs and increase the competitiveness of the entire Lithuanian economy,” says J. Didika.

Kęstutis Tubis, mayor of the Anykščiai District Municipality, emphasizes that “Anykščiai is home to active, creative people who believe in the future of their region, and whose ideas can turn into successful businesses. However, personal effort alone is not enough for a business to grow – opportunities to learn, receive professional advice, and build useful connections are also necessary. I believe that ‘Spiečius,’ which has opened in Anykščiai, will become a place where new ideas are born more boldly, collaboration is strengthened, and new opportunities are created for the people of our region and the entire area.”

During the event, guests explored the new “Spiečius” space and its possibilities, shared experiences, and made new connections. They also had the opportunity to chat with the “Spiečius” team and learn more about the services offered.

“Spiečius” provides free entrepreneurship support services to business founders: it organizes training sessions and hands-on events, offers individual consultations, provides mentoring, and creates opportunities to establish new business contacts and find partners. “Spiečius” members can also use the workspaces and meeting rooms and participate in community activities. The services are designed for both startups and existing small and medium-sized enterprises seeking to strengthen their capabilities and grow.

You’ll find the “Spiečius” business hub at Tilto g. 2, Anykščiai.
