A. Armonaitė: Creating opportunities for new investment projects between Lithuanian and American businesses

Minister of the Economy and Innovation Aušrinė Armonaitė opened the 5th North America-Lithuania Business Forum (NALB) in New York. One of the most important Lithuanian business events in the US this year, the NALB brought together several hundred participants, including representatives of Lithuanian and North American business and government, business associations, investors and the Lithuanian diaspora.

"Lithuania has an abundance of educated and highly skilled talent, as well as a favourable business environment for investors and an openness to new investments, which makes the first NALB Forum a very important platform for showcasing this. The USA is the leading country in terms of foreign investments in Lithuania, with approximately EUR 4.5 billion, and it is crucial to continue intensive cooperation and seek new business projects among leading companies, presenting Lithuania as a centre for business development in Europe," said the Minister of the Economy and Innovation A. Armonaitė.

The NALB Forum is becoming an annual platform for strengthening business ties between North America and Lithuania. This year's event in New York will focus on technology, innovation, artificial intelligence and transatlantic cooperation.

"We want to increase Lithuania's competitiveness and create more opportunities for companies to export to the US market. We are constantly looking for areas where we can further exploit the potential of our country. We hope that the partnership between the two countries will only grow stronger in the future and that the contacts we have made will become an excellent basis for future cooperation," said Karolis Žemaitis, the Deputy Minister of the Economy and Innovation.

Last year, the 4th edition of the event took place in Chicago and attracted a record number of participants - more than 400 business professionals from Lithuania, the US, Canada, Mexico and other countries. The focus was on life sciences, advanced manufacturing and services, start-ups, film and entertainment, transportation and logistics.
