A. Armonaitė: New Head of the Centre of Registers Will Further Improve the Company’s Services to Businesses and Residents
Minister of the Economy and Innovation Aušrinė Armonaitė met with the new Director General of the State Enterprise Centre of Registers, Adrijus Jusas. During the meeting, the future vision, work and priorities of the Centre were discussed.
“We expect that with his extensive experience in corporate management, strategic planning and international cooperation the new head will not only ensure efficient management of the state enterprise, but also contribute to further modernisation and digitalisation of the IT systems of the Centre of Registers, opening more and more data of the registers and information systems to the public. According to studies carried out by the EU and other international organisations, the opening of state data could generate between 0.4 and 1.5 per cent of GDP, which would amount to between €200 and 750 million in Lithuania,” said Aušrinė Armonaitė, Minister of the Economy and Innovation.
During the meeting, it was discussed that one of the cornerstones on which the Centre of Registers will continue to focus is the development of high value-added data-based services.
“I have a vision for the company to become a major hub for the provision of state technology and modern services, developing integrated solutions at a national level. Now is the time for the company to move to the next phase, with innovation, further opening up of data and analytics, services involving artificial intelligence solutions and active international cooperation at its epicentre,” said Adrijus Jusas.
Mr Jusas took up the post of Director General of the Centre of Registers on 26 June.
He has been the Director of Strategic Development of the Centre of Registers since 2019, prior to which he worked as the Head of the Process and Quality Management Centre at UAB Franmax. In 2016, Mr Jusas became the Director of the Business Development Department for the Baltic States at ADB Gjensidige, and since 2012 he has been the Head of the Process Management Unit at AB Telia Lietuva. From 2004 to 2012, he worked as a senior consultant at Ernst & Young Baltic UAB.
In 2002, Mr Jusas obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Business Administration from Vilnius University, and in 2004 a Master’s degree in Economics from Vilnius University.
For 25 years, the Centre of Registers has been managing the main national registers and information systems, which collect key data on the country’s population, business and real estate. It currently maintains 10 registers of national importance and about 20 information systems.
