A. Armonaitė to present Lithuania's investment opportunities in Ireland
Minister of the Economy and Innovation Aušrinė Armonaitė will pay a working visit to Ireland on 2-3 May, where she will meet potential investors and present Lithuania's investment climate.
"Ireland's foreign direct investment in Lithuania amounts to €412 million, ranking 15th among Lithuania's partners. We see the potential for closer cooperation in the field of technology, including the use and development of artificial intelligence, which could contribute to strengthening the countries' innovation ecosystems and increasing their international competitiveness," said Minister of the Economy and Innovation A. Armonaitė.
During her visit, the Minister will meet with Dara Calleary, Ireland's Minister of State for the Promotion of Foreign Trade and the Digital Agenda. She will also meet with the management of Enterprise Ireland and the Irish Industrialists' Confederation IBEC.
A. Armonaitė will also participate in an event organised by the Irish Foreign Direct Investment Agency IDA Ireland, where she will present Lithuania's investment climate and visit Ryanair. The Minister will also meet representatives of the Lithuanian diaspora in Ireland.
Last year, trade between Lithuania and Ireland amounted to €325.04 million, making Ireland Lithuania's 32nd largest trading partner. Exports amounted to € 154.6 million and imports to € 170.4 million. Ireland is also Lithuania's 20th largest inbound tourism market.
