A. Armonaitė will participate in the Artificial Intelligence Forum in Denmark and meet with Lithuanian communities
On 29-30 August 2024, the Minister of the Economy and Innovation Aušrinė Armonaitė will attend the Nordic-Baltic Forum in Copenhagen, Denmark, and during the visit, on Thursday, she will also meet with the Lithuanian community.
This year, the Nordic-Baltic Forum is the first to focus on developments in Artificial Intelligence (AI), namely, how to use AI to ensure that countries not only keep pace, but also lead the digital era in priority economic areas.
“Last year, almost 5% of all Lithuanian companies used AI technologies, including more than 21% of large companies. In addition, Lithuania ranked 35th out of 193 countries by the Government AI Readiness Index 2023. This shows that both business and the public sector in Lithuania are ready to integrate AI solutions to benefit the population. Therefore, participation in the Nordic-Baltic Forum will open up new partnerships that will strengthen the growth of our country’s priority sectors,” said Aušrinė Armonaitė, the Minister of the Economy and Innovation.
Around 100 participants, including Ministers from Denmark, Norway, Finland, the Åland Islands, Iceland and Latvia, and representatives of various companies, business associations and academic institutions, will take part in the Forum. The Forum is also planned to be attended by the heads of the Danish offices of world-class businesses such as Microsoft and Novo Nordisk Foundation.
During her visit to Denmark on Friday, the Minister A. Armonaitė will also meet with representatives of the Copenhagen Professional Club and the Lithuanian Big Brother community.
