Ministry of the Economy and Innovation is moving to new premises on Šeimyniškių St.
On 10 November, the Ministry of the Economy and Innovation will move from its premises at Gedimino Ave. 38 in Vilnius to the ‘Business Stadium’ business centre at Šeimyniškių St. 19. The move was prompted by renovation works initiated by the building’s manager, the state-owned enterprise Turto Bankas.
‘The Ministry’s current premises will soon undergo modernisation; Turto Bankas has therefore leased new offices for the Ministry where we will begin working next week. We expect that once the modernisation project is completed, the Ministry employees will return to the renovated premises,’ says Inga Steponavičienė, Chancellor of the Ministry of the Economy and Innovation.
According to Gintaras Makšimas, Director General of Turto Bankas, the building at Gedimino Ave. 38 is one of the largest yet least energy-efficient properties managed by the company.
“Currently, this building only meets energy performance class F, which has a considerable negative environmental impact due to high energy consumption. After the renovation, it will reach at least energy efficiency class A so energy use is expected to be reduced by one third. The building will be equipped with a new ventilation system and an upgraded heating system. These improvements will create more comfortable working conditions as well as reduce annual greenhouse gas emissions by nearly 177 tonnes,” he says.
The renovation of the building at Gedimino Ave. 38 is expected to be completed by mid-2027.
