New commercial attaché appointed in France
The Ministry of the Economy and Innovation (EIMIN) has appointed Neringa Greičiutė as the new Lithuanian commercial attaché in France. N. Greičiutė has many years of experience in business development and cultural exchange.
"France is one of Lithuania's priority markets for exports, innovation, and tourism. We hope that the new attaché's experience in business and culture will open up the French market further to Lithuanian businesses, promote cooperation with local partners and boost our economic visibility in France," said Marius Stasiukaitis, Vice Minister of the Economy and Innovation.
Prior to her appointment, N.Greičiutė worked as a freelance project coordinator in France, where she managed international cultural exchange projects. She also participated in implementing the Lithuanian Culture Season in France programme, coordinating two projects and organising creative residencies for Lithuanian artists, with the aim of strengthening cultural exchanges between the two countries.
Previously, she held management positions in the French private sector for over five years, where she was responsible for business development, strategic planning and partner relations. She also contributed to introducing Lithuanian products to the French market.
She began her career in the retail sector in Lithuania, where she managed a team and was responsible for sales and marketing activities.
'Building on the success of the Lithuanian cultural season in France, I would like to strengthen the professional and trusting relations between Lithuania and France, in both the cultural and business sectors. Lithuania and France share many interests, and I hope that my long-term work experience in France with Lithuanian companies will yield tangible results in helping Lithuanian businesses establish themselves in the French market and attract investment to Lithuania,' says N. Greičiutė.
N. Greičiutė holds a Bachelor's degree in Law and Management from Mykolas Romeris University and a Master's degree in Comparative Cultural Studies from Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University in France. She is fluent in French and English.
France is a priority market for Lithuanian exports, innovation, and tourism. In 2024, trade between the two countries amounted to €1.93 billion, with Lithuanian exports reaching €728.6 million. The main exports were machinery, transport equipment, furniture, and food industry products. Meanwhile, French direct foreign investment in Lithuania reached €880.3 million in the same year. That same year, almost 33,000 French tourists visited Lithuania, spending more than 69,000 nights in the country.
