Free e-invoicing tool in a smarter system

From 1 July this year, we are moving to a more advanced SABIS system that will make it easier and simpler to send and receive electronic invoices from the public sector, businesses and other contracting entities. SABIS will replace the current "E.sąskaita" (e-Account) information system. The Euroconnector tool, developed on the initiative of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, will help businesses adapt to these changes.

"This tool will be available to companies free of charge. It will make it more convenient to exchange invoices not only with Lithuanian, but also with public institutions and companies in other EU countries," said Erika Kuročkina, Deputy Minister of the Economy and Innovation.

The Euroconnector tool is easily accessible and can be integrated into companies' accounting systems. This technological solution will make it easier to send, receive and process electronic invoices in accordance with the European e-invoicing standard.

As the European Union (EU) moves towards a common electronic invoice, invoices submitted in the new SABIS system will comply with the European e-invoicing standard.

In response to requests from "E.sąskaita" (e-Account) information system users and in order to ensure a better readiness for the use of SABIS, a transition period is foreseen from 1 July to 31 August. Users will be able to migrate gradually to SABIS and continue to use e-invoicing for an additional period. SABIS will be fully operational on 1 September and "E.sąskaita" (e-Account) information system will be discontinued from 30 August this year.

The development of Euroconnector, an e-invoicing tool, was funded by the Next Generation Lithuania Recovery and Resilience Plan, which is supported by the European Union's NextGenerationEU programme.
